Runners from over 30 countries participated in the three events which began at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 5 along the Negril main road to the sounds of Reggae music on and off the looped course. As is customary, the race ended with a Beach Bash Victory Party, massages on the beach and frolicking in the blue Caribbean Sea in between sips of Red Stripe beer, while participants and spectators danced to the Upright Roots Band, Digicel Rising Stars and headliner Kabaka Pyramid.

The JHTA & FAME FM-sponsored Pasta Party was a huge success, so was the Digi Rig, which brought out a large number of Reggae Marathon participants and members of the Negril community to the Burger King Parking Lot in the Negril Square as part of the entertainment package which was organized by Jamdammers Running Club, conceptualisers of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K annual event.
