Through the kind gesture of Mrs. Rita Marley, the Reggae Marathon commissioned Basil Watson, noted Jamaican sculptor, to create the “Bob Marley Trophy” for the first male finisher and the “Rita Marley Trophy” for the first female finisher of the marathon. Treasured art pieces in their own right, these trophies reflect the spirit and vibe of the Reggae Marathon.

All finishers of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K receive a commemorative medal.

Age Group and Participation Award Certificates will be awarded in the following categories for both male and female: under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 & over. The certificates will be mailed after the event.

Prize money for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K total over US $10,000. The awards payment will be disbursed in January 2013.

There will be a special prize category for the High School Boys & Girls Championships in the 10K, as well as for the Team Championships in the Half Marathon & 10K.
