“I am a Runner!”

I’ve been following Gibson’s Daily Run Quotes on Facebook and

Twitter for the past year.  They publish regular motivational and inspirational running quotes.  I usually check in with them early in the morning and some days they make the difference between running and being lazy.  Plus I love that they combine runners along with the inspiration.  Here are some of the my recent favourites:

My Grandfather was a man who believed in hard work.  He also believed in perseverance. “Nothing takes the place of perseverance…” he was fond of saying.  On those mornings when ‘I just don’t feel like it’, I stop thinking and just go running.

It’s really hard to argue with this.  480 minutes sleeping, 540 minutes working, 180 minutes watching TV.  Hmmm…a few minutes here, a few minutes there…doesn’t seem too hard to fit in a minimum of 30 minutes running each day.

I am my own toughest critic.  Making an excuse not to run is tough to defend…you should hear how I berate myself.
