Words…and pictures…of running inspiration

Amen to that!  Of all the things that I’ve experienced from running, the feeling after finishing even a less-than-ideal run is positive and extends beyond the run.  Maybe you know the feeling.  But I confess, sometimes I need a good kick in the butt to get motivated to go running.  It doesn’t happen often and once I’m on the road and settled into the run, I always feel better.  Here are some words and pictures of inspiration from Gibson’s Daily Run Quotes for those days when a little help is needed to see how great life really is:

Is there such a thing as “Lady Luck”?  I prefer to chalk it up to good, old fashioned hard work.  The cliche, ‘the harder I work the luckier I get’ is in the same vein.  The bottom line is that if you don’t put in the (training) time you won’t achieve the (racing) Time!

This one puts a smile on my face

ever time I think about it.  “Never ever give up” is a stripped down version…if I ever get over my fear of needles, it would make a good tattoo.

This is exactly what my grade school teachers were trying to instill when they referred to the word ‘Discipline’.  They didn’t express it that way but the end result is the same.  It’s all about personal choice isn’t it.  What are you going to choose today?

Until next time…
