Getting to Negril

Getting to Negril can be as easy as sending an email to one of our Travel Package Partners and letting them do the rest.  Or you can do-it-yourself.  Either way, we have a lot of resources on our website to help you plan your trip.

Negril is on the very western tip of the island of Jamaica.  It’s a ‘Road Trip’ for everyone.  Jamaicans travel via either of two routes:  Up to the North coast then west through Montego Bay to Negril or via Spanish Town to Mandeville to the South Coast and then up to Negril.  Magnificent scenery no matter the route.  For those of you coming in via air, the International Airport in Montego Bay is your best bet then bus to Negril following the coastal highway from Montego Bay through Lucea directly to Negril…about 90 minutes.

  • The Travel Tab at the top of our Home Page is a great place to start.  It includes general information on entry requirements, currency, what to wear, etc.
  • On the right side of the page, the Accommodations link takes you to a number of the hotels in Negril along the Beach.  We’ve included the approximate distance from the start/finish for each of the hotels listed.
  • The Travel Packages link is the place to go if you are looking for a travel company to make all your arrangements.  All can arrange your entire trip…air, ground transportation, hotel…and many have special Reggae Marathon travel deals.

If you have any specific questions, you can always send us a direct message on our Facebook Page:  Reggae Marathon.  We provide updates and tips regularly.

Until next time…
