Reggae Marathon Roll Call! Who’s coming to Reggae Marathon December 2, 2017? So far we’ve heard from the following groups:
Reggae Runnerz. So far over 400 runners have registered for Reggae Marathon 2017. You’ll see them in their distinctive T Shirts at hotels all up and down the beach in Negril. Running and sunning of course! Jamaica in December is now a regular, annual event on their ‘Runcation’ Calendar. And if you see Queen Runnerz, Lisa Laws, say hi!
Reggae Rebels. 5 years in a row now Bonnie Fowler has led a group of runners from the Toronto, Canada area to Reggae Marathon. She already has 30+ registered and you’ll see them on the road and on the beach this December.
Easy Skankin. Based out of Florida, New York, Larry Savitch and his merry band will be back. They’ll be up to their 7th Reggae Marathon this December…if Larry is keeping accurate track. Larry has a neat tip: Every year before he leaves Negril, he books his hotel for the next year. Now that’s goal setting!
High Schools. They start in front of most of, they sprint out like hares…we see them on the return after they have rounded the round-a-bout in Negril. I’m referring to the High School teams of young men and women in the 10K. I love watching them as they seem to fly over the road.
There are other numerous teams from all over Jamaica, the US and Europe with teams of 5 to 20 runners. We love seeing you all every year. If you’re coming with a running group this year, let us know.
Until next time…
