First is to buy a can of perfectly good coconut water from one of the top-notch beverage manufacturers. For ease of consumption, I can’t think of a more convenient way to get a fix of coconut water. Especially if you live outside of Jamaica, and in the winter months, it can be the only way.
As a kid, a super special treat was getting a fresh coconut from the tree that grew in the front of my Grandma’s place in Kingston. While I wasn’t allowed to touch the sharp machette, it was a thrill to watch an expert make a couple of grand slashes to get to the hard pod. Then with another quick swipe there it was: a fresh coconut water. Nothing tasted so good!
But it didn’t stop there. Once we were finished, another slash from the machette down the center of the empty coconut opened up the pod to reveal the delicious white flesh…I have to go now, a fresh coconut is calling out to me…
And as this Reggae Marathon finisher found after last December’s race, an empty coconut makes a great headrest. In the meantime here are some folks enjoying their how much is prednisone coconut after last December’s Reggae Marathon.
