When is the Reggae Marathon?
The Reggae Marathon is always held on the first full weekend in December, with the race day being SUNDAY. However, in 2024, the event date is December 8, and in 2025, it will be December 7, 2025
Can I walk the full marathon, half marathon, 10K or 5K?
Running and walking are allowed at the Reggae Marathon in the Marathon Half Marathon, 10K & 5K events, as is customary at most international events. Please note the Marathon is now offered virtually ONLY
What is the best airport to fly into from the United States to attend the Reggae marathon?
What does my entry fee include?
Your Entry Fee includes free entry to our world’s famous Pasta Party and Finish Line Beach Bash and T shirt, bling medal and other goodies.
How do I get to the start line on Race morning?
JUTA Kingston is available from most hotels, and UBER is a reliable service in Kingston. When you collect your race package before the event, let us know any concerns you may have. Our volunteers will suggest the various options available.
What time does the race start? And, what is the average temperature around that time?
The race start is 5:15 am and the average temperature is the low 70 degrees F.
Are jogging strollers allowed in the race?
Jogging strollers are allowed in the race. In the interest of safety, we do request that you line up at the back of the pack at race start.
Can I change my event after I have registered?
Yes. You may send us an email if you decide to change weeks ahead of race day OR, or when you come to collect your race packet at Packet pickup, you can also change then.
Are there free shuttles available on the days of packet pick-up and/or for the pasta party?
No, JUTA Kingston, will provide rates for ground transportation to these events, or utilize UBER.
How do people accompanying runners buy tickets for the Pasta Party?
Pasta Party Tickets for non-runners are available for sale at Registration/Packet pick up, when you come to collect your race packet. There will be a Booth and the ticket price will be displayed
Describe the course? What is the terrain? Is it certified?
The certified course is mostly flat and fast.
Is there a time limit to the marathon?
The race course is officially closed at 11:15 AM sharp, and the road reopens to vehicular traffic.
What if you are still out running after the course is closed?
Once the course is closed at 11:15AM sharp, and the road is reopened to vehicular traffic, persons are not encouraged to remain on the course after that time.
