Once each year, the Reggae Marathon race route becomes a runners’ freeway from the Negril Roundabout (South) up to Club Riu/Salt Creek Bridge (North). The route is closed to vehicular traffic from 4:00am to 11:00am
Only FREE Reggae shuttle buses are allowed on the race route which will pick-up and drop-off ANYONE that needs to travel along the Reggae Marathon route from the Negril Roundabout to Salt Creek Bridge.
Vehicles traveling from Lucea and Green Island should take the road from Green Island via Grange Hill, Alma, Little London and to Negril.
Vehicles traveling from Montego Bay are to use the Reading to Savanna La Mar route.
Traffic rules will be rigorously enforced to keep the event safe for all participants.
The Reggae Marathon happens ONE day of the year and adds value to our tourism product and livelihood. Please cheer on and encourage participants so that they will return and tell others of their Negril experience. The Police will enforce Race Day traffic rules to keep the event safe for participants.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for travel on race morning.
Thank you for your cooperation!
