9 days to Reggae Marathon 2018 and the tropical breeze of Negril beckons! Sunshine, white sandy beaches, warm temperatures…It’s a conspiracy to get you to relax. And few of us have the willpower to resist.
You should be well into your tapering for Race Day, Sunday, December 2. And don’t wait for the Pasta Party to load up on carbs. I’ve found that if I heavy up on the carbs the week before a race, that leads to better performance. I like to drink a lot of water in the days leading up to race day…again, that seems to help on race day, especially in the second half of a race.
