Music is synonymous with Jamaica and when you come to Jamaica for the Reggae Marathon, you’ll hear reggae, dancehall, and perhaps some calypso from when you pick up your bib to the pasta party and from when you start the race to the finish.
At packet pickup, there will be a DJ playing music to set the tone for the weekend’s events. At the pasta party the music continues with a steel pan drum band. Not only are they playing island music, but there are also performers to entertain you while enjoying pasta, bread, and other carbs!
On race morning, when you get to the start area, there will be more music and entertainment to set the mood. Along the course, you will hear the locals who hook up sound systems to their cars. When you are running, stop and dance and live it up. At the finish line, the DJ will be playing and then runners will be treated to a concert by a local Jamaican artist. There is truly music from start to finish.
