A few smiling faces at Reggae Marathon

It’s tough not to smile when you’r up on stage dancing early morning after finishing at Reggae Marathon.  But smiles were had all around…and why not…it’s almost always a near perfect weather day on the beach in Negril, Jamaica for running or walking in Reggae Marathon.

“Got ‘er dun”.  Now time to celebrate with the best post-race hydrolyte replacement…a fresh cut coconut.  If these runners followed the Reggae Marathon post-race agenda, next up was a cold Red Stripe then a dip in the refreshing Caribbean.

One of the things I enjoy most about Reggae Marathon happens for me at about 5:35 am.  That’s when I run into the ‘Youngsters’ who have already made the turn and are heading back to the finish.  I’m always energized to see them flying like Gazelle’s and imagine that’s how I look. Not!

And now it’s celebration time!  Misting Tent first if you need to cool off then on to the post race refreshments and festivities.  Don’t forget the sunscreen…the Negril beach beckons.  Smile!

Until next time…
