“Negril gets under your skin”. And I don’t mean the sand. There is something exotic about being on a ‘miles-long’ white sand beach with warm water lapping the shore. Combine that with a running event and that is truly an intoxicating mix that is hard to resist. Just ask Marsha Doucette and her Lace Up for Liver team who are coming back this December 7 for their second Reggae Marathon.
Last year Marsha came with a group of Canadian fund raisers who had earned their trip to Reggae Marathon by successfully hitting their target fund raising goals. I heard from Marsha recently that at this early stage of the year, even more runners have signed up already. Great going!
Bananas before the race…bananas + coconut water + cold Red Stripe after Reggae Marathon. That makes getting up for the 5:15 am start totally worth it.
Marsha also noted that there is an Early Registration Bonus on right now for Lace up for Liver 2013: $250 sign up fee waived! You can sign up now at Lace up for Liver.
Until next time…
