At 4:30 am milling around waiting for the 5:15 am Reggae Marathon start it’s always great to see groups of runners, friends and families posing for photos. Even those not used to being up early get caught up in the pre-race excitement. Yes, Reggae Marathon is a unique experience that begins right at the start.
These Black Girls Run runners, shoe pom-poms and all are all smiles and ready to go. We’re about 20 minutes away from the start now.
The Reggae Marathon race announcer just announced that it’s 15 minutes to the start. Time for one more picture though!
We got the runs on the Beach not too long after sunrise. After the pre-dawn start, ‘gettin it dun’ leaves a lot of time to enjoy the post-race festivities on the Beach!
You guys all look great. Looking forward to seeing you all again next December 6 for Reggae Marathon 2014.
Until next time…
