You’ve decided to come to Negril for the Reggae Marathon and you’re staying to relax and enjoy the beach for a few days after to make it a true vacation. In addition to going out to eat at some fabulous restaurants both along the beach and on the cliffs, there are some great excursions that you can go on to. There are many that are within an hour of Negril. Ask the front desk staff at your hotel for some referrals and they might be able to set you up with a trip to see Jamaica beyond Seven Mile Beach.

I have been on quite a few excursions during my trips to Jamaica. The one place that I really want to go is Floyd’s Pelican Bar. It’s a bar in the middle of the ocean. Personally, I can’t think of a better place where I’d want to enjoy a cold Red Stripe beer. But if there is one place that I’ve visited more than once it’s YS Falls. YS Falls is less than an hour from Negril and you will be transported to a lush oasis where you can enjoy a trip through some waterfalls and jump into the water from a rope hanging from a tree. You are far enough away from the streets to enjoy the peaceful surroundings that the island has to offer.
