Yes Reggae Marathon starts at 5:15 am and yes there are aid stations with water and Hi-Lyte available at every mile but bring a hat and wear it!
When I'm asked what the most important piece of running gear is for the Reggae Marathon this is always at the top of my list. Temperatures are warm but moderate in Negril in December but the best defense against the sun is to wear a hat and keep your neck covered. Then to keep cool, here's my trick: grab an extra water pouch at the aid stations and squeeze it over your head and in particular your neck. It works to keep you cool. Trust me. I'll be
checking at the Reggae Marathon finish line.
Until next time…
