Is there such a thing as a runner’s perfect diet? Maybe not since we are all different and have varying nutrition needs…not to mention tolerances and food allergies! But there are some guidelines that runners should follow to stay healthy through long runs and tough workouts. Here are some suggestions from Coach Elizabeth
Eat a balanced diet, take it easy with salty snacks, stay away from carbonated pop drinks. Adjust the timing of carbos and protein based on your training. That’s a good start to developing your perfect runner’s diet.
