Lots of reason to exercise. Health benefits are usually the #1 reason for exercising. A lot of took up running to lose weight. Running is therapy for other runners. Getting into the zone out on a long run is similar to meditating. Yes, I know meditation purists will beg to differ. Running to be social is another good reason for running. Reggae Marathon got started when the Jamdammers Running Group in Kingston came up with the idea of holding a road running event in Negril that’s grown to become the premier running event in Jamaica. The Jamdammers are still very active…look out for their Instagram posts before and after their weekend runs around the Kingston area.
