Insect Protein. Would you eat protein made from insects? One company in Germany is doing just that. Using a blend of insects and plant based protein to create the right balance of amino acids. Issac Nutrition worked with the University of Applied Science in Muenster, Germany to create the product. Their first offering, a vanilla flavoured bulk protein powder.
This appears to be the start of a sustainable food and nutrition trend. Scientists have determined that insects are high in protein and with the right processing, are safe for human consumption. For those of us who like our protein shakes, insect protein is an alternative. But the question remains, Would you eat an insect?
One day soon we may not even think twice about eating insect protein.
