2 months and a few days to Reggae Marathon!  OK, time to start thinking about packing for Reggae Marathon December 6.  First things first…I need a new suitcase!

For the past few years I’ve been over stuffing a small carry on with not only my beach and non-running clothes but also my running gear…shoes included!  And because the suitcase is ‘old school’ (ie, really old), I have to pull it by the handle on two roller wheels.

Recently I’ve seen the newer style suitcases that roll on 4 wheels:  I want one!  I even saw one with bright yellow and green and while not all the colours of Jamaica were represented, it was close enough.

Planning for Reggae Marathon over the next couple of months gets more exciting.  First the conversations and trash talk with my running friends from all over the world increases significantly. Some days it’s tough to get any work done!  Between new beach sandals, swimsuit, running shoes, the standards of hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and apres sun and run wear needs to be assembled.  My wife laughs that I’m such an organizer that I’m packed and ready to go a month before December 6.  That’s true…that’s part of the anticipation.

So just 2 months (plus a few days) until runners from all over the world congregate in Negril for the 14th running of Reggae Marathon. Try to stay calm.
