We have all seen the gimmick races out there where you are running and either eating for drinking every quarter mile. Personally, I don’t have the stomach to do races in which you drink or eat during the race. (Full disclosure, I normally only drink water in races up to a half marathon.) But a lot of these races are run to participate in and spectate as well. It’s amazing to watch someone run a mile and eat a slice a pizza every quarter mile. I can only imagine what it feels like at the end of the race having eaten four slices of pizza!
