Rules of the Race

Rules of the Race

All races have their own rules that all runners must follow. Some are standard across (almost) all races such as if plan to win the race, you can’t listen to music. Others are a little more obscure such as you cannot wear a costume. It’s important for every race that you participate in that you read the rules for participation and the FAQ’s so you know what to expect on race day. The rules are even that much more important if you are looking to make the podium.

Reggae Marathon 2015

Men’s Health magazine published an article about weird rules for races. I have linked that article below. Some of my favorites from the article are no drones and remember to pay your taxes on your winnings. Did you know that you had to do that? So it’s wise to thoroughly read through all the information about the race BEFORE you run it. You don’t want to risk a disqualification. Have you come across a weird race rule that is not in the article from Men’s Health? If so, tell us about it.
