I’m always running to music. Even though I don’t regularly wear earbuds when running, I always here music. I like Reggae and my preference is Roots…music I grew up on. Here are a few of my favourites starting with ‘Try Jah Love’ by Third World!
Now that’s Roots Reggae for sure. Great for a speed workout especially if you focus on the right underlying track. And that got me thinking: What other Roots Reggae music would be great for running?
‘Jammin’, Bob Marley. Again, focus on the faster underlying rhythm track and you’ll be speeding through your run. I’ve had some great track workouts listening to an humming this tune.
Can’t get more Roots than that! ‘Simmer Down’ by the Wailing Wailers. Fast or slow…Speedwork or Recovery this works for both!
‘Funky Kingston’ by Toots and the Maytals. Not strictly a running tune but I just love this live version.
Yeah…I’m always running to the music. These are some of my favourites. What about you?
Until next time…
