There’s not a lot to do in Negril. Kidding! As a beach vacation, the strip of white sand beach called ‘Seven Mile Beach’ is tough to beat. From morning to sunset, lounging, eating, drinking and catching rays is the main thing to do in Negril. Beyond the Beach is Negril West End…the Cliffs. Just as relaxing but a totally different Negril experience. Here are some of our favourite sights of Negril:
Jerk Chicken, Drum Chicken … there are lots of places to try both all along the highway and beach of Seven Mile Beach. Most are not formal and that’s what makes them even more special.
Every once in a while a cloud will lazily float by blocking the sun’s rays for a few minutes. That’s about as hectic as it gets if you are a dedicated beach bum.
A little bravery is a good thing to have if you attempt to dive or jump from the cliffs at Rick’s Cafe. This is not for the faint of heart…save the beer until after you’ve jumped. You need a clear head for this.
Negril is a fishing village. As you cross the bridge over the Negril River, you can see many small fishing boats like this one.
So whether you want to take in the sights of Negril or just relax, there’s really not much to do in Negril 🙂
Until next time…
