Want to run raster? Who doesn’t! I’ve spent countless hours doing speed workouts, hill repeats and various other forms of running drills with the goal to run faster. I’ve cross-trained in the gym using my favourie piece of equipment, an eliptical trainer. I’ve done laps in the pool and cycled many miles. The only thing I’m admittedly not fond of is weitht training.
Recently though I’ve found a way to add strength training to my workout routine without pumping iron. And that’s Planking and all its variations. The increase in strength in my core has helped with breathing which in turn has helped me run faster. Since then I’ve found this excellent strength training routine and have added these as well:
