When in Jamaica, there are so many options for food that you shouldn’t keep to just one place. If you are vegan or vegetarian, there are a lot of options for food too.
In Jamaica, there is a lot of food and drink options to seek out. Of course, you can start your day with the Blue Mountain coffee along with some ackee and saltfish with callaloo- a traditional Jamaican breakfast. Don’t forget the fresh fruit too! For lunch, you can dine on some patties that are sold on the beach with a Red Stripe. There are a lot of options for lunch on the beach. But be sure to get there early because the good food sells out!
When dinner rolls around, its important check out one of the many restaurants in Negril along Seven Mile Beach, on the cliffs, or in town. There you can find a traditional jerk chicken with rice and peas. (Side note, if you come to Jamaica, you must have jerk chicken, preferably in a place with a tin roof, it’s a rite of passage.) Don’t forget to find some rasta pasta to eat too! You should also try some snapper you won’t regret it. Jamaica is known for their fresh snapper. Whatever you like to eat, I’m sure you’ll find a few favorites in Jamaica.
