5K Training Plan

This 5K Training Plan from Olympian Carrie Tollefson is a great way to get started if you’re new to running.  It covers all the basics:  Speedwork, Tempo and Easy Run days and of course the importance of rest.  Any yes my cold and snowbound friends in northern climes…Spring is coming so now is a good time to get started!

Then when you’re ready, here’s how to make the transition to the 10K:  Transition from 5K to 10K.
