The winners of the half marathon receive a Bob Marley statue (men’s winner) and a Rita Marley statue (women’s winner.) The statues are just one of the ways the Reggae Marathon pays tribute to Bob Marley and his wife Rita. Bob and Rita Marley had such an influence in Jamaica and Rastafarian culture that we honor them through the statues. Throughout the race, you can hear the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers. The final mile of the race is also named the Bob Marley mile and is lined with inspirational quotes from Bob Marley songs.

The Reggae Marathon will continue honor the legacy of Bob Marley  through his music and likeness.
