Happy New Year! From the entire Reggae Marathon Family, we wish you and your family all the best for 2013!
Looking back, 2012 was an exciting year to be sure! Some of the highlights included:
- The release
of the ‘Marley‘ movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favour and buy the DVD or Download. It provides a ‘not totally varnished’ look at the life and times of Bob Marley.
- 50th Anniversary of Independence was a year-long celebration with events in Jamaica and around the world. It peaked in the summer of 2012 with the week-long double celebration of Emancipation and Independence in Kingston.
- The Summer Olympic Games. Or should we say, the Jamaican Olympic Games…it was an Olympic-sized Summer! From the pool to the track, Jamaicans made their mark at the Olympic Games last summer. Only 3 1/2 years to the next Summer Olympics…
- And of course Reggae Marathon 2012 last December. Bigger and better than ever with more runners from more countries. Registration for Reggae Marathon 2013, December 7 in Negril opens soon. See you in Negril this December.
Until next time…
