Jamaican Gems

Jamaican Gems

I have been fortunate to vacation in Jamaica over ten times. And for the last ten years, I have participated in the Reggae Marathon. Each time I go to Jamaica, I try to take advantage of the beauty of the country. There is so much to see there from the mountains to the sunset.

On my first trip to Negril, I went on an excursion to Dunn’s River’s Fall in Ocho Rios. It was recommended by everyone when I told them that I was going to Jamaica. The other place that came highly recommended was Rick’s Café for their sunset views and to watch the professional divers dive into the water. The sunset on the from the cliffs is not one to miss.

If you are looking for some smaller more intimate locations to visit while you are in Negril for the Reggae Marathon, check out Blue Hole Mineral Springs which is about a 30-minute drive from Negril. There you can jump into a giant blue hole from 35 feet up, relax by the pool, or go to the top of the house and take in breathtaking views. Another great Jamaican experience is YS Falls. Located about 90 minutes from Negril, you can go up the falls, take a rope swing into the water or go down on zipline.

This is just a small offering of what Jamaica has to offer. Whatever your adventure, Jamaica has what you are looking for.
