Miss Lou: Wheelchair Diva

Wheelchair Diva indeed!

Louise Estrella ‘Miss Lou’ Harrison who turned 91 years old this past November is registered and ready to take on the Reggae Marathon 10K in her wheelchair this Saturday.  That’s inspiring for more reasons I can think of!  I hope I have that level of energy and enthusiasm at that age.

‘Miss Lou’ is the daughter of Linda Coy, who is a Reggae Marathon regular, a member of Black Girls Run and one of the Reggae Runnerz.  “My Mother is very adventurous” she noted.  “She wanted to participate in the race because she saw that I did it several times before”.    Miss Lou, born and raised in Montego Bay is a Mother of 7, a retired seamstress and shop owner.  This will be her first trip back to Negril in a long time and she is looking forward to that along with participating in her first Reggae Marathon.  “A a stalwart…My hero…My mom!” noted Linda proudly.

Miss Lou, Diva

We’re pretty sure you’ll be the oldest Diva Miss Lou.  We are looking forward to meeting you when you get to Negril for Reggae Marathon later this week.
Until next time…
