Road Trip

Road Trip!  I’m ready.  Reggae Marathon is just over 7 weeks away and I’m ready for the road trip!

800px-Jamaica_Regions_mapIf you’re coming from off-Island, now’t the time to make sure you have all your travel and transportation documents in order.  If you’ve been to Jamaica and Reggae Marathon before, you’re old-hat about getting to Montego Bay, travelling to Negril and getting in a few pre-Reggae Marathon runs to get a little accustomed to the warmer temperatures.  A good resource is the Jamaica Tourist Borad Web Site:  Travel to Jamaica.

If you’re coming to Negril from another part of Jamaica, the road trip can be a big part of the experience.  Whether you go south through Mandeville and Black River (with a stop for Pepper Shrimps along the way) or up to Ocho Rios through Montego Bay (a stop in Ochi for Jerk) enjoy the drive.

And speaking of driving, there are a couple of alternative options is you don’t want to drive yourself…or need a ride. From the Montego Bay Airport, JUTA Negril is a convenient and well-priced option:  JUTA Negril.  From other parts of Jamaica, Knutsford Express is another convenient and well-priced option in luxury, air-conditioned coaches: Knutsford Express.

Road Trip!

Until next time…
