In less than ten months, we will get to see so many familiar faces in Negril. While it was great to see so many regulars running the Reggae Marathon virtually, it will be even better when we get to see everyone in person.

The Reggae Marathon is special. And it’s special for so many reasons. First, there is the World’s Best Pasta Party. The Pasta Party is a great start to the festivities for the weekend. Local food vendors from area hotels and restaurant showcase their best pasta dishes. It’s also the chance for everyone to meet up with old friends and new friends alike. As the sun starts to set, the sounds of the DJ can be heard playing classic Bob Marley and Peter Tosh to contemporary Reggae artists like Chronixx and Koffee. After the DJ finishes, it’s time for the steel pan drum band. And don’t forget the importance of hydrating with water too. Soon the food will be gone and then everyone starts to leave the pasta party and head back to their hotel or homes and prepare for the race.

Reggae Marathon 2015

Before you know, it’s 5:15 in the morning and it’s time for the race. Once again, we are excited to see everyone early and ready to run. And before you know it, it’s race time. Runners and walkers alike prepare to on the streets and complete a 10k, half marathon, or marathon to the finish line where everyone collects their medal. And most of all, we like to see all of our participants take part in the post-race party!
