At the risk of repeating myself, I love meeting runners and friends after finishing Reggae Marathon.  After many of the other races I run in, I usually can't wait to grab some food and drink and head out.  Not so at Reggae Marathon.  Maybe it's the heady combination of successfully completing the run, the beach atmosphere, the music and comparing the race experience with friends new and old.  No matter the reason, the post-race Reggae Marathon experience is what keeps me coming back year after year.  Here are some of the smiling faces enjoying themselves after Reggae Marathon.

Note to all photographers:  it is tough not to get great pictures with the warm Caribbean gently lapping the white sugar-soft sand of the Negril beach at Long Bay Beach Park.  And the soft early morning light will help ensure that your photos and videos look like masterpieces.

Can you say 'Team Spirit”.  And there are a lot of teams competing at Reggae Marathon each year.  From high-schools to corporate teams;  from loose groups of friends to organized groups from around the world (remember the Running Girlz and Easy Skankin?).  And there will be some new additions to Reggae Marathon 2012.  Watch out for Marsha Doucette and her group from the Canadian Liver Foundation.

What better way to end your race than a nice massage on the beach in Negril?  I can't think of anything better.  OK, maybe the Red Stripe after the fresh coconut.

Everyone's a winner at Reggae Marathon.  Weather a podium finisher or mid-pack, crossing the Reggae Marathon finish line is the 'Win'.  My registration goes in this week.  See
