“Runners in the Zone”: adapted from Reggae Marathon Friend and Seasoned Runner Dan Cumming, author and blogger of Running in the Zone. It suits these pictures of Reggae Marathoners captured during their individual races. And that’s what I like about running: “It’s my race”
“The eyes have it” is a familiar experience for all runners. Far away…dreamy…almost closed. Always focused on the goal.
For most of us it’s challenging enough to run. Pushing along a future runner takes it up a notch. I ran into these guys before the start of Reggae Marathon last December…it was inspiring to see the focused energy so early in the morning.
Back at Reggae Marathon 2011, Bob Moore of Washington, DC was all fun and games. He confessed that he was totally out of shape for his race that year. Fast-forward to Reggae Marathon 2012 and it was the new Bob Moore who showed up in Negril. I almost didn’t recognize him when we met up on the beach. Nice going Bob.
If ever there was an”Eyes” picture, this would be it. “Running in the Zone” for sure! Thanks for the inspiration Dan.
Until next time…
